Check the axial runout of the brake disc without removing it from the vehicle (Fig. 6-16). The maximum permissible runout according to the indicator is 0.15 mm; if the runout is greater, the disk must be ground, but the final thickness of the disk after grinding should not be less than 9.5 mm. In case of damage or very deep scratches, as well as in case of wear exceeding 1 mm on each side, replace the disk with a new one.
