In the variant version, the cars are equipped with an electronic anti-theft system, which provides the ability to start the engine only after reading the code from the working code key. The main element of the system is the electronic control unit - the immobilizer, which in the security mode issues a prohibiting code command to the engine control controller. The immobilizer has protection against key selection and protection against code reading. The code key has a special block in its composition, allowing the code value to be transmitted in an encrypted, constantly changing form.
The anti-theft system kit includes code keys, which are additionally attached to the car. Two black keys are working keys, they should be used to remove the car from security, and one red key is a training key. The red key is used to activate the anti-theft system and initially train black keys, to train new keys in case of loss of old ones, and to restore the system's operability when replacing faulty electronic units. All keys are marked APS-4.
The anti-theft system must be activated during pre-sale preparation. Make sure that the anti-theft system is connected and works properly. To do this, close all the doors of the car except the driver's door, get into the car and close the driver's door. The LED of the system status indicator should flash twice per second. Bring any of the black keys to the indicator, the LED should go out and, at the same time, the buzzer should sound a double beep.
After this, you can turn on the ignition and start the engine, the anti-theft system works normally.
ATTENTION! If the engine starts without bringing the black key to the indicator, then the anti-theft system is inactive, demand its training and transfer to the active state when selling and after maintenance of the car.
The anti-theft system switches to the security mode automatically after the ignition is turned off and depends on the driver's further actions. If the driver's door was not opened or was opened and not closed, then the security mode is set after 5 minutes; if the driver's door was opened and then closed, then the security mode is set after 30 seconds from the moment the door was closed.
In all cases, 15 seconds before the system is armed, the buzzer sounds at an accelerating rate and the indicator LED lights up with a flickering light.
If the security setting is not desired, it can be cancelled by turning the ignition key to the "ignition on" position.
Disarming
To disarm the anti-theft system, switch it to the "read" key code mode; in this mode, LED 1 (Fig. 32) flashes twice a second. Switching to the "read" mode is possible in two ways:
- opening or closing the driver's door, in which case the "reading" mode lasts 1.5 minutes;
- by turning the ignition on and off, in which case the "reading" mode lasts 10 seconds.
After switching the system to the "reading" mode, bring any of the black keys 3 to the indicator 2, the LED 1 should go out and, at the same time, a double beep should sound from the buzzer.
After this, you can turn on the ignition and start the engine.
ATTENTION! Never use the red key to disarm the car, this may block the engine from starting. Due to the importance of the red key, keep it at home in a safe place. In case of loss of the red key, after the anti-theft system is switched to the active state, warranty obligations for the quality of the system and the engine control controller are not accepted.
Special situations
1. Loss of working black key.
If you lose a working key, it is recommended to retrain the second remaining working key so that the lost key cannot be used to steal the car. Then you can buy a second key and retrain the system again for two keys. Retraining is carried out on the PSSS with training of the previously used "own" working key and a new or two new keys.
2. Loss of the training red key.
If the training key is lost, it is impossible to carry out the procedure of training new keys. This means that you can continue to operate the car with the existing working keys, but if they are lost or the immobilizer is faulty, you will have to replace both the immobilizer and the engine control controller with new untrained ones. With such a replacement, you can take any new training key and carry out the procedure of transferring the anti-theft system to the active state on the PSSS.
3. Replacing a faulty immobilizer.
After replacing a faulty immobilizer with a new one, it is necessary to carry out the procedure for training the APS system on the PSSS.
4. Replacing the faulty controller.
If the controller is faulty, it can be replaced with a new clean controller. With such a replacement, the controller will allow the engine to start regardless of the immobilizer. To enable the anti-theft function, it is necessary to activate the system on the PSSS.
5. The engine does not start.
If after disarming the anti-theft system, when starting the engine, the LED of the system status indicator blinks at a frequency of 1 time per second, and the engine does not start, then the anti-theft system is faulty or there is no connection between the immobilizer unit and the engine control controller. If when starting the engine, the LED blinks 1-2 times and goes out, and the engine still does not start, then the malfunction is not related to the anti-theft system.
