Removing
1. Remove the throttle assembly from the car.
Recommendation. The throttle assembly can be removed without disconnecting the hoses. It is enough to disconnect it from the intake manifold flange.
2. Disconnect the throttle cable from the intake manifold (see points 5 and 6 "Throttle valve - replacement of the drive cable").
3. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the ignition coils (see points 2 and 3 "Ignition coils of the VAZ 21124 engine (1,6i) - check and replacement").
4. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the crankshaft position sensor (see p. "crankshaft position sensor (DPKV) - removal, inspection, replacement").
5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the camshaft position sensor (see point 2 "Camshaft position sensor (DPRV) - removal, inspection, replacement").
6. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the canister purge valve.
7. Remove the wiring harness from the intake manifold and set it aside.
8. After loosening the clamp, remove the vacuum brake booster hose from the intake manifold pipe.
9. Using an 8 mm wrench, loosen the clamp that secures the hose of the crankcase ventilation system.
10. Remove the hose from the branch pipe of the cylinder head cover.
11. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the self-tapping screw (1) fixing the guide tube of the oil level indicator.
12. We take out the guide tube together with the dipstick oil level indicator from the cylinder block and remove it.
13. With a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the two nuts (1) attaching the intake module to the cylinder head cover and three bolts (2) fixing the ignition coils of the first, second and third cylinders.
14. Remove the ignition coils of the first, second and third cylinders (see points 2-4, 8 and 9 "Ignition coils of the VAZ 21124 engine (1,6i) - check and replacement").
15. With a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the three nuts (2) and two bolts (1) attaching the intake manifold to the side surface of the cylinder head.
16. Sliding forward, remove the intake manifold.
Installation
We install the intake manifold and all removed parts on the car in reverse order. Replace damaged intake manifold seals (see photo "The intake manifold of the VAZ 21124 engine (l,6i)" pos. 1 and 3).
