Warning: Before performing work on removing the fuel rail, read the safety rules for servicing and repairing the fuel system (see "Safety precautions for maintenance and repair of the power supply system").
Removal
1. Preparing the vehicle for work (see point 2a "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Relieve the fuel pressure in the fuel line (see "Fuel line - pressure relief").
3. Remove the air filter housing (see "Air filter - removal and installation").
4. Using two 17 mm wrenches, unscrew the fitting (2) of the fuel rail pipe, holding the hexagonal tip of the fuel line hose that supplies fuel to the fuel rail. Move the tip of the hose away from the pipe. Similarly, disconnect the fitting (3) of the fuel drain pipe into the fuel tank. Release the clamp (1) securing the wiring harness.

5. Using a phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screws for fixing the fuel line pipes and remove the pressure bar of the bracket (see point 6 "Fuel rail engine 21124 (1.6i) - removal, installation, replacement").
6. Remove the rubber O-rings from the tubes (see point 8 "Fuel rail engine 21124 (1.6i) - removal, installation, replacement"). We replace damaged sealing rings.
7. Remove the receiver (see "Engine receiver 2112 (1.5i) - removal and installation").
8. Disconnect the wire harness connectors and disconnect the wire harness connector from the bracket.

9. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the clamp securing the crankcase ventilation hose and remove the hose from the cylinder head cover pipe.

10. Using a 10 mm socket wrench with a ratchet, unscrew the bolt securing the oil level indicator tube...

...and we remove the tube together with the oil level indicator.

11. Using a 5 mm Allen key, unscrew the two bolts securing the fuel rail to the cylinder head.

12. Remove the fuel rail assembly from the vehicle, complete with injectors, wiring harness and fuel pressure regulator.

Note: To remove the fuel rail, pull it towards you and then move it to the left side.
Disassembly
13. Using a slotted screwdriver, release the two wire harness mounting brackets.

14. Disconnect the four wiring harness connectors from the injectors.

15. Remove the wiring harness from the fuel rail.
16. Having moved the spring retainer along the fuel rail, remove the injector.

17. Remove the spring retainer of the injector from the fuel rail.

18. Using a 24 mm wrench, unscrew the fuel drain pipe nut...

...and remove the end of the tube from the pressure regulator.

19. Using a 5 mm Allen key, unscrew the two bolts securing the fuel pressure regulator (1) and move the pressure plate (2) of the fuel supply pipe along the fuel rail. Remove the fuel pressure regulator (3)...

...and remove the tube from the fuel rail hole.

Warning: Damaged fuel line and injector seals must be replaced.
Assembly and installation
We assemble and install the fuel rail on the vehicle in the reverse order.
Before assembling the fuel rail, cover the sealing rubber rings with a thin layer of motor oil.
