- move lever 6 (Fig. 8-32) of the heater valve 14 control to the right as far as it will go and drain the liquid from the engine cooling system;
- disconnect the ground wire from the battery;
- unscrew the mounting screws, remove the instrument panel shelf and the radio panel, disconnecting the wires from it;
- remove the air duct 1 of the internal ventilation by unscrewing the fastening screws;
- loosen the clamps and disconnect the rubber hoses for supplying and draining liquid from the heater pipes 13;
- unscrew the two mounting bolts inside the engine compartment and remove the heater radiator pipe seal;
- loosen the bolt of the flexible rod casing fastening bracket on the crane and remove the rod from the crane;
- remove the heater fan motor switch and disconnect the wires from it;
- remove the four spring holders and the heater fan housing 15 as an assembly;
- remove the instrument panel, through the opening for it in the instrument panel, loosen the screw of the flexible tie rod bracket of the air intake cover 9 and remove the tie rod from the lever;
- unscrew the nuts fastening from the casing 11, radiator 12 and air intake box 10, disconnect the ground wire fastened under one of the nuts, remove the casing and air intake box;
- if necessary, remove the air duct 7, connected to the deflectors 8 by two rubber seals.

Install the heater in the reverse order. Pay attention to the correct position of the sealing gasket between the radiator casing and the body, and the reliability of tightening the clamps of the rubber hoses.

After installing the heater on the car and connecting all hoses to the engine, fill the cooling system with fluid and check the tightness of the heater connections.
