To replace the pads, perform the following operations:
- unpin the upper clamping lever axle, remove it and remove the lever; remove the caliper assembly and remove the worn pads from the guide grooves (Fig. 6-16);
- carefully press the pistons into the cylinders until they stop, making sure that no fluid spills out of the master cylinder reservoir, and install new brake pads into the guide grooves;
- having brought the lower guide bevel on the caliper under the lower pressure lever, press the caliper against the pads, insert the lever axle with the head on the wheel side and cotter it.

The brake pads must be changed simultaneously on both the right and left brakes.
