Unscrew the nuts securing the housing 13 to the carburetor. Remove the filter housing together with the thermostat 5, having first disconnected the corrugated hose 2.
Loosen the clamping bolt 6 and remove the thermostat 5 with the cold air intake 4.
When installing the air filter to reduce intake noise, the filter cover should be installed so that the arrow on the cover faces as shown in Fig. 2-77.
