Recommendations:
- To avoid discharging the battery when the engine is not running, do not leave the ignition on for a long time.
- Monitor the condition of the battery terminals and the reliability of the connection of the wire tips to the terminals. Dirt, oxides and poor contact in the connections increase the resistance between the terminals and wire lugs, which leads to difficult starting of the engine, rapid discharge of the battery and failure of the vehicle's electronic equipment.
Warnings:
- When connecting the wires, tighten the fastening nuts so that the lugs cannot be pulled off by hand.
- Regularly check that the battery is securely fastened to the vehicle body.
Loosen the wire lugs on the terminals «-» and «+» battery, disconnect the cable lugs and lay them aside.
Loosen the nut securing the bracket to the body stud.
Remove the battery mounting bracket from the body stud and...
...disconnect bracket and battery holder (remove the holder from the hole in the bracket).
Remove the battery holder from the bracket hole on the body.
Remove the battery from the vehicle.
Install the battery in the reverse order of removal. Observe polarity when connecting («mass» connect the wire to the terminal «-» battery). Lubricate the battery terminals and cable lugs with conductive grease to keep them from oxidizing.
