- unscrew the front wheel mounting nuts and remove the wheel with the cap 15 (see figure 97) wheel hubs: unscrew the hub mounting nut on the outer joint housing;
- disconnect the ball joint of the suspension arm from the steering knuckle by unscrewing the bolts that secure it;
- moving the telescopic strut of the front suspension to the side, remove the splined tip of the outer joint from the hub using the A.40005 puller;
- drain oil from the gearbox housing;
- using puller 67.7801.9524 or a hammer through a punch, knock out the inner joint housing from the hole in the axle gear; remove the wheel drive.
The installation of the wheel drive is carried out in the reverse order of removal. In this case, the retaining ring 12 (see figure 92) of the hinge housing to prevent spontaneous disconnection of the wheel drive and the axle gear. To do this, install a new retaining ring and center it relative to the housing splines using consistent grease. Then install the joint housing splines into the axle gear splines, applying axial force to the end face of the inner hinge housing.
If it is necessary to replace the seal of the inner joint housing (half-shaft), use the mandrel 67.7853.95621. After installing the drive, it is necessary to install the boot on the mounting surfaces on the shaft and on the hinge housing. Before installing the clamps, release the "excess" air from the boot by pulling the mounting belt of the boot away from the drive shaft with a screwdriver. After installing the wheel drive, fill the gearbox with oil.
