- unscrew the nuts securing the front wheel and remove the wheel with the cap 15 (see fig. 97) wheel hubs: unscrew the hub fastening nut on the outer hinge housing;
- disconnect the ball joint of the suspension arm from the steering knuckle by unscrewing the bolts of its fastening;
- moving aside the telescopic strut of the front suspension, remove the splined tip of the outer hinge from the hub using a puller A.40005;
- drain oil from the gearbox housing;
- with a puller 67.7801.9524 or with a hammer through a drift, the body of the internal hinge is knocked out of the hole of the side gear; remove the wheel drive.
Installation of the wheel drive is carried out in the reverse order of removal. In this case, be sure to replace the retaining ring 12 (see fig. 92) hinge housing to prevent spontaneous separation of the wheel drive and side gear. To do this, install a new retaining ring and center it on the housing spline using grease. Then, the splines of the hinge body are installed in the splines of the side gear, applying an axial force to the end face of the inner hinge body.
If it is necessary to replace the gland of the inner joint housing (axle shafts) use mandrel 67.7853.95621. After installing the drive, it is necessary to install the cover on the seating surfaces on the shaft and on the hinge housing. Before installing the clamps, they release «excess» air from the boot by pulling the seat band of the boot away from the drive shaft with a screwdriver. After installing the wheel drive, oil is poured into the gearbox.
