Replacing the front crankshaft oil seal (VAZ-11113)

You will need:

• screwdriver
• mandrel with outer diameter (41 0.5) mm
• hammer

Remove the oil pump from the vehicle (see subsection 10.8.2.).

If you find signs of oil leaking through the camshaft oil seal, first check whether the crankcase ventilation system is clogged or whether its hoses are pinched, and correct the faults if necessary.

If the leak does not stop after this, replace the seal.



1. Using a screwdriver, remove the oil seal from the oil pump cover.



2. Press the new seal into the pump cover with its working edge facing inward.
