Remove the mudguard from the engine sump. (see Removing the oil pan protection plate and injection engine splash guards, And Removing the oil pan protection plate and mud flaps of the carburetor engine).
By engaging 1st gear and braking the car with the parking brake...
...the key «at 38» Loosen the crankshaft pulley nut.
Loosen the water pump drive belt (see Tension adjustment and replacement of the coolant pump drive belt) and remove it from the crankshaft pulley.
Finally turning...
... remove the nut securing the crankshaft pulley.
Remove the pulley from the toe of the crankshaft.
Pry off the front crankshaft oil seal with a screwdriver...
... and take it out of the camshaft drive cover socket.
Having lubricated with engine oil the working edge of the new oil seal,...
... we press it in with a tool head of a suitable size (or pipe section).
You can also press the gland in another way.
Having inserted a new oil seal into the cover socket, we install a pulley with an old oil seal on the shank on the crankshaft.
Tightening the pulley mounting nut, press in a new oil seal until it stops.
Having unscrewed the pulley fastening nut, remove the pulley and the old stuffing box.
We mount the parts in the reverse order.
