Gear selection mechanism: 1 – reverse gear engagement fork; 2 – gear selection lever; 3 – upper spring; 4 – mechanism body; 5 – lower spring
You will need:
- key "10"
- screwdriver
Remove the gear selector mechanism from the transmission (see subsection 11.1.2.).
Difficulty engaging gears may be caused by wear on the gear selection mechanism parts.
1. Loosen the gear selector lever axle mounting bolt.
2. Please note: there is a washer under the bolt head.
3. Using a screwdriver, remove the thrust plate.
4. Remove the spring...
5....a thrust washer and...
6....fixing ball.
7. Remove the gear selector lever shaft.
8. Holding the springs, remove the gear selector lever from the mechanism housing.
9. Remove the upper lever spring...
10....the upper spring thrust washer...
11....the lower spring support washer and...
12....the lower spring.
13. Remove the reverse gear fork axle retaining ring.
14. Remove the reverse gear engagement fork.
15. Replace worn, damaged or warped gear selector lever and reverse gear fork.
16. Replace bent, broken or sagging springs.
17. Replace the worn gear selector lever shaft.
18. Assemble the gear selector mechanism in the reverse order of disassembly. Note that the gear selector lever springs have different elasticity. Therefore, to distinguish between them, the lower 1 spring is galvanized, and the upper 2 has no coating.
