The electric fuel pump is designed to create pressure in the fuel system and supply fuel through the fuel filter to the injector unit.
The submerged electric fuel pump is quite complex, located in the gas tank and structurally combined with the return fuel channel tube and fuel level indicator. It has a special nipple for checking the pressure created by the pump. It should be at least 2.5 kg/cm². It can be checked with a pressure gauge and from a tire pump. Access to the pump is through a hatch under the rear seat cushion. At the inlet of the fuel pump there is a filter, which should first clean the gasoline entering the system.
The fuel pump is located in a special well, which should always contain gasoline.
