Computer power supply system with electronically controlled injection (VAZ-2110)

            0

There are two ways of getting gasoline into the cylinder. The first is under vacuum, when the piston goes down, the suction stroke occurs. This is how the carburetor works. It is very difficult to regulate the composition of the combustible and working mixture. The second is forcibly injected fuel by creating pressure in the fuel system, immediately before the ignition of the working mixture during the compression stroke. With the second method, there are also two possible injection options. The first is injection into the intake manifold. There are three possible options here: using one injector - single-point or central fuel injection, which is used in "Zhiguli". Two-point, using two injectors, when fuel enters the intake manifold for cylinders 1.3 and 2.4. If you use one injector for each cylinder, you get multi-point phased distributed injection.

The most progressive method is direct injection into the cylinder. This method allows working on a very lean mixture. It has 1 part gasoline to 50 parts air. In a carburetor, a 1:15 mixture is considered normal, and 1 part gasoline and 20 parts air is a very lean mixture and practically does not burn. This method causes problems with the ignition system. But they have already been solved. The power supply system with direct injection is the most progressive and allows solving environmental and economic problems.

The computerized fuel system with electronically controlled injection puts our cars on a par with modern foreign cars. This system allows you to influence the toxicity of exhaust gases, the engine power, its torque and its efficiency. The computer controls the entire process of preparing the necessary working mixture. And everything depends on the program that is embedded in this computer and on the availability of modern components that can provide all the capabilities of this fuel system.

On the "tens" two versions of this power supply system are used:
  • 1. Distributed injection with computer (electronic control unit) "January 5.1", and with VAZ control program, with domestic components of the fuel and ignition system, without a neutralizer and oxygen sensor.
  • 2. With the computer "January 5.1", with the program and components developed by the German company "BOSH" at the joint venture "BOSH-Saratov".
