Attention! Before performing the operation, read the safety precautions for maintenance and repair of the power system (see "Safety measures for the maintenance and repair of the power system").
Removing
1. Relieve fuel pressure in the fuel line (see "Fuel Line - Pressure Relief").
2. Remove the air supply hose to the throttle (see "Throttle valve - actuator adjustment").
3. Disconnect the hose from the fuel pressure regulator.
4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw securing the pressure plate and remove the plate.
5. Open end wrench by 24 mm unscrew the nut of the fuel drain pipe.
6. Hex key by 5 mm unscrew the two bolts securing the pressure regulator to the fuel rail.
7. Remove the pressure regulator.
Installation
Warning! The connections of the pressure regulator with the fuel rail and the fuel pipe are sealed with rubber rings. Check the condition of the rings on the new regulator. If they are cracked, torn or otherwise defective, the rings must be replaced.
After lubricating the O-ring with engine oil, install the new fuel pressure regulator in reverse order.
