Power supply system (VAZ-2121)

The fuel system is equipped with a Solex carburetor with a return drain of part of the fuel through a calibrated hole in the carburetor pipe into the fuel tank. A check valve is attached to the fuel drain hoses, preventing fuel leakage from the tank through the carburetor when the car rolls over. The fuel tank is installed under the floor of the body. The tank is connected by a hose to a non-separable separator, in which gasoline vapors condense and flow back into the tank.

Air is sucked into the air filter and engine cylinders through the thermostat 5 (Fig. 9-4) with manual control.
