To avoid discharging the battery when the engine is not running, do not leave the ignition on for a long time.
Monitor the condition of the battery terminals and the reliability of the connection of the wire tips to the terminals. Dirt, oxidation and poor contact in the connections increase the resistance between the terminals and wire tips, which leads to difficult engine starting, rapid battery discharge and failure of the vehicle's electronic equipment.
Caution: When connecting the wires, tighten the fastening nuts so that the tips cannot be pulled off by hand.
Attention! Regularly check the reliability of the battery fastening to the car body.
1. Loosen the wire ends to the "–" and "+" terminals of the battery, disconnect the wire ends and move them to the side.
2. Unscrew the nut securing the bracket to the body stud.
3. Remove the battery mounting bracket from the body stud and...
4....disconnect the bracket and battery holder (remove the holder from the hole in the bracket).
5. Remove the battery holder from the bracket hole on the body.
6. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
7. Install the battery in the reverse order of removal. When connecting, observe the polarity (connect the "ground" wire to the "-" terminal of the battery). Lubricate the battery terminals and wire tips with conductive grease so that they do not oxidize.
