Recommendation. The throttle assembly can be removed without draining the coolant. This will require two M10 bolts as plugs.
Warning. Start work only after the engine has cooled down to a safe temperature (not higher than 45°С).
Removing
1. We prepare the car for repairs (see item 2a "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery (see point 2 "Battery - removal and installation").
3. Remove the decorative trim of the engine (see "Decorative overlay of the engine - removal and installation").
4. Having unscrewed the plug of the expansion tank, we release excess pressure from the engine cooling system.
5. Remove the air supply hose to the throttle valve.
6. Disconnect the throttle cable from the sector (see points 3 and 4 "Throttle valve - replacement of the drive cable")
7. Disconnect the wire connector from the TPS (throttle position sensor).
8. Disconnect the wire connector from the idle speed controller (see points 2 and 3 "idle speed controller (IAC) - check and replacement").
9. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the clamps for fastening the hose of the crankcase ventilation system, two hoses for supplying coolant...
...and canister hose.
10. Remove the crankcase ventilation hose from the throttle body fitting.
11. Disconnect the adsorber hose from the throttle assembly.
12. Using a 13 mm wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the throttle assembly to the intake module flange.
13. Remove the throttle assembly from the studs and lift it above the expansion tank of the cooling system.
14. Holding the throttle assembly in a raised position, remove the coolant supply hoses from the throttle body fittings.
15. We insert M10 bolts into the hoses. To prevent them from falling out, tighten the hose clamps.
Installation
We install the throttle assembly and all removed parts on the car in reverse order.
