Note. The work on replacing spark plugs is shown on a VAZ 2110 with an injection engine 21124 (1.6i). The specifics of replacing spark plugs on a VAZ 2110 with an engine 2112 (1.5i) are specified in the text.
In a car, we replace spark plugs according to the manufacturer's recommendation every 30,000 km, or when they fail, if the engine starts to run unstably at idle.
To perform repair work on replacing spark plugs, you will need: a special 16 mm socket wrench for spark plugs with an extension. The head of the wrench should have a rubber sleeve that holds the spark plug.
Removal
1. On a car with a VAZ 21124 (l,6i) engine, remove the ignition coil of the first cylinder (see items 1, 2, 8 and 9 "Ignition coils of the VAZ 21124 engine (1.6i) - checking and replacement").
On a car with a VAZ 2112 (l,5i) engine, remove the high-voltage wires from the spark plugs (see items 1-3 "High-voltage spark plug wires of the VAZ 2112 engine (1.5i) - removal, installation and replacement").
2. Using a 16 mm spark plug socket wrench, unscrew the spark plug and remove it from the socket.
3. Remove the spark plug from the key head.
Adjusting the spark plug gap
The article is taken from an online resource: VAZBOOK.ru
4. Before installing the spark plug, use a set of round feeler gauges to check the gap between its electrodes. The spark plug gap should be 1.0-1.13 mm.

Warning: When checking the gap between the electrodes with flat feeler gauges, the measurement results will be incorrect.
5. Adjust the gap between the electrodes by bending the side electrode.
Installation
Warning: To avoid damaging the threads in the cylinder head, first tighten the spark plug by hand and then tighten it by inserting the handle into the wrench extension. The tightening torque of the spark plug is 30-40 N·m.
We insert the spark plug into the key head and screw it into the cylinder head.
We replace the spark plugs of the remaining cylinders in the same way.
Installation
We install all removed parts on the car in the reverse order of removal.
