The primary shaft of the gearbox is made in the form of a block of gears. The primary shaft gears are leading, they are in constant engagement with the driven gears of the forward gears installed on the secondary shaft. All elements of the secondary shaft are removable. The secondary shaft is hollow with radial holes in the places of installation of gears for lubrication of the outer surface of the shaft. The fifth gear gear rotates on the sleeve. The leading gear of the main gear and the synchronizer hubs are installed on the splines of the shaft. The front ends of the shafts rest on roller bearings, and the rear ends on ball bearings.
The differential is a two-satellite one, the preload of its bearings is adjusted by selecting the thickness of the adjusting ring installed under the outer ring of the differential bearing. A plastic leading gear of the speed sensor drive is installed on the differential housing. The driven gear and the sensor drive shaft are installed on the crankcase.
For more precise operation of the gear shift mechanism and prevention of their spontaneous disengagement during movements of the power unit, the support of the gear shift lever is connected to the gearbox housing by a jet rod. A rubber damper is installed on the rod, reducing the transmission of vibration of the power unit to the gear shift lever.
To control the oil level in the gearbox housing, a level indicator is installed (measuring probe).
