Remove the cables of the parking brake system assembly, for which:
- release the nuts of the thrust and disconnect the cables from the equalizer, disconnect the fastening of the cables to the body and to the suspension arms;
- disconnect the tips of the cables from the levers of the manual drive of the brake shoes, and the flanges of the tips of the shell - from the brake shields.
Disconnect the brake hoses from the pipelines of the working brake system, taking measures to prevent leakage of brake fluid. Lower the car by placing stands under the suspension arm bracket. Unscrew the nuts securing the shock absorbers to the body and to the suspension arms, remove the washer 13 (see fig. 112) and rubber pads 14.
Stops are installed under the front wheels of the car and, having raised the rear of the car, remove the springs 5 (see fig. 110). Unscrew the nuts of the bolts securing the suspension arms to the brackets 2 of the body, remove the bolts and remove the rear suspension beam assembly with shock absorbers 4. Remove the shock absorbers from the bushings of the suspension arms. If it is necessary to replace the brake shield or the wheel hub axle, unscrew the bolts 6 (see fig. 111) fastening axle 7 of the wheel hub and brake shield to the flange of the suspension arm and remove the shield assembly with brake pads and axle 7. If the rubber-metal hinges of the suspension arms are worn or damaged, press them out with tool 67.7823.9537 (mandrel ∅ 46 mm) from the bushings of the levers.
