Removal and disassembly
To remove the pendulum arm bracket, disconnect the pendulum arm from the ball pins of the middle and side right rods by unpinning and unscrewing the nuts beforehand and removing them with a puller A.47052 (see fig. 133) ball pins from the sockets of the lever. Then unscrew the bolts securing the bracket to the side member and remove it.
For disassembly, fix the bracket in a vice, remove the cotter pin 5 (see fig. 127) and unscrew the nut 4, then remove the washers and 6, the pendulum arm 1 assembly with the axle 9, the washer 10 and the self-locking nut 11, then remove the seals 7 and press out the bushings 8.
Examination. After disassembly, check the condition of the bushings of the pendulum lever axis and its axis. If there is ovality or damage, they are replaced. In addition, it is checked whether the pendulum arm has any deformations, otherwise it is also replaced.
Assembly and installation
Before assembly, lubricate the pendulum arm axle bushings and fill the space between them with Litol-24 grease. Assembly order of the pendulum arm bracket, reverse to disassembly. In this case, if the axle 9 has been replaced, then the self-locking nut 11 of the lever fastening is tightened with a torque wrench. Washer 6 is installed with protrusions up. After tightening the nut 4, the lever in the horizontal position must not rotate under its own weight. It should rotate under the action of a force of 1-2 kg applied at its end. If the nut 4 turned out to be overtightened, then it is unscrewed, the washer 6 is lifted and tightened again.
After that, the bracket is fixed on the body side member with bolts with self-locking nuts and flat washers and the ball pins of the rods are connected to the pendulum lever.
