Removal and disassembly
To remove the pendulum arm bracket, disconnect the pendulum arm from the ball joints of the middle and right side rods, having first uncoated and unscrewed the nuts and removed with puller A.47052 (see fig. 133) ball joints from the lever sockets. Then unscrew the bolts securing the bracket to the side member and remove it.
To disassemble, secure the bracket in a vice and remove the cotter pin 5 (see fig. 127) and unscrew nut 4, then remove washers 6, pendulum lever 1 assembled with axle 9, washer 10 and self-locking nut 11, then remove seals 7 and press out bushings 8.
Check. After disassembly, check the condition of the pendulum arm axis bushings and its axis. If there is ovality or damage, replace them. In addition, check whether the pendulum arm has deformations, otherwise it is also replaced.
Assembly and installation
Before assembly, lubricate the pendulum lever axle bushings and fill the space between them with Litol-24 grease. The order of assembly of the pendulum lever bracket is the reverse of disassembly. In this case, if axle 9 was replaced, then self-locking nut 11 of the lever mount is tightened with a torque wrench. Washer 6 is installed with the protrusions upward. After tightening nut 4, the lever in the horizontal position should not rotate under its own weight. It should turn under the action of a force of 1-2 kgf applied to its end. If nut 4 is overtightened, then it is unscrewed, washer 6 is lifted and tightened again.
After this, the bracket is secured to the body side member with bolts with self-locking nuts and flat washers and the ball pins of the rods are connected to the pendulum arm.
