Removing
1. Drain the coolant from the radiator and cylinder block and remove the air filter.
2. Disconnect the wires from the battery, spark plugs and from the coolant temperature gauge sensor.
3. Disconnect the choke cable from the carburetor.
4. Using the key 67.7812.9514, turn out the spark plugs and the coolant temperature sensor.
5. Disconnect the throttle linkage from the intermediate lever on the cylinder head cover and remove the cover.
6. Turn the crankshaft until the mark on the pulley is aligned with the long mark on the camshaft drive cover (see fig. The location of the marks for setting the ignition), and the marks on the camshaft sprocket with the mark on the camshaft bearing housing (see fig. Checking that the alignment mark on the camshaft sprocket matches the mark on the bearing housing).
7. Disconnect the hose from the pipe for supplying fluid to the heater, and from the exhaust manifold - the bracket for fastening the tube for draining fluid from the heater.
8. Disconnect the hoses from the carburetor, intake manifold, and cylinder head water jacket outlet.
9. Disconnect from a final collector a protective guard of a starter and a reception pipe of mufflers.
Attention! The exhaust manifold and intake manifold with carburetor are best left on the head. They can be removed later when disassembling the cylinder head.
10. Loosen the cap nut of the chain tensioner, press the tensioner rod with a mounting spatula and fix it with the cap nut.
11. Remove the camshaft sprocket and bearing housing along with the camshaft.
12. Turn away bolts of fastening of a head of cylinders to the block and remove a head.
Installation
1. In order to reinstall and fix the head on the cylinder block, carry out the described operations in reverse order, while:
- do not forget to install the cylinder head gasket and head cover gasket;
- tighten the head mounting bolts in the sequence shown in fig Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Order, and the nuts of the studs of the camshaft bearing housing - in the sequence shown in fig. Procedure for tightening the camshaft bearing housing nuts.
2. Tighten the cylinder head bolts in two steps:
- pre-torque 33.3–41.16 Nm (3.4–4.2 kgf·m) bolts 1–10;
- final torque 95.94–118.38 Nm (9.79–12.08 kgf·m) bolts 1–10 and torque 31.36–39.1 N·m (3.2–3.99 kgf·m) bolt 11.
3. When installing the chain, pay attention to the coincidence of the installation marks (see fig. Checking that the alignment mark on the camshaft sprocket matches the mark on the bearing housing and fig.  The location of the marks for setting the ignition). Tension the chain as directed in subsection 3.12.3.
4. When installing the cylinder head cover with a gasket, tighten the cover fastening nuts with a torque of no more than 7.85 Nm (0.8 kgf·m), so as not to cause the gasket to break along the mounting holes and warp the cover. When repairing the engine, it is recommended to replace the cover gasket with a new one.
5. After installing the cylinder head, check and adjust the ignition timing.
