The car interior is a high level of comfort (VAZ-2110)

The interiors of the "tenth" family cars have a modern European design. The driver can easily find a comfortable position for landing using both the seat adjustment and the steering column tilt adjustment.

The interior acquires a more aesthetic appearance due to the shaped upholstery of the roof and other parts of the interior. Fabric and velour upholstery are used in the finishing. The glazing area has increased. Glass has become a supporting element of the body, it is glued into the body. The interior has low noise and vibration indicators.

The keys and buttons on the instrument cluster are positioned along the edges and on the panel so that they are easy to use while driving. The on-board control system signals:
  • about the open door;
  • insufficient coolant, engine oil, washer fluid level;
  • condition of the brake system;
  • engine condition;
  • malfunctions of lighting devices.

The car is equipped with a domestic system for central locking of locks, it allows:
  • by inserting the key into one door, control all the lock buttons,
  • on a VAZ-2111 and VAZ-2112 car, control the rear door lock,
  • connect to the security alarm system and control the lock with a key fob,
  • perform electrical adjustment of seats, mirrors, electric windows, antenna.

Heater with automatic control of the set temperature in the cabin



The heater of the "ten" consists of a radiator with two flaps, a fan, an air intake box. All of them are combined into a block. This block is now installed in the engine compartment, which significantly facilitates access to the block parts. The operation of this block is monitored by the automatic heater control system, which is located in the cabin. This system ensures the temperature mode set by the driver. The driver only directs the warm air in the desired direction.



There is a special protection between the windshield and the hood that prevents foreign objects from getting into the air intake box from the car glass. The air intake is closed with a grille. A condenser heat exchanger can be installed at the air intake inlet and it is planned to install an automatic climate control system if, at the driver's request, the car will be equipped with an air conditioner.

The heating radiator is connected to the expansion tank and is now positioned in such a way as to prevent the formation of steam locks.

The heater design does not provide for the installation of a heater tap, which eliminated one of the leakage points of antifreeze. The amount of heat is now regulated by a damper that directs the air flow either through the radiator or bypassing it.

When the temperature control is set to the middle position, warmer air is directed to the feet, and cooler air is directed to the windshield and upper part of the cabin. If the control is set to the maximum temperature position, warm air will flow to both the upper part of the cabin and to the feet.

Warm air is supplied to the rear seat passengers' feet via air ducts, which are covered with a decorative grille. The driver should remember this and not cover the grilles with mats when warm air needs to be supplied.

The interior ventilation system has a valve that allows warm air to be kept in the interior longer.

The temperature control unit regulates the air temperature in the cabin through its sensor installed in the ceiling, which compares the temperature in the cabin with the temperature set by the driver. If it is necessary to change it, a command is sent to the micromotor reducer, which regulates the flow of warm air either through the radiator or bypassing it, and the desired temperature is maintained in the cabin regardless of the engine operating modes.


The fan mode handle provides automatic switching on of the fans in position "A" and forced switching on of the fans at different speeds in positions 1 and 2.

The peculiarity of this system is the recirculation mode. Its main purpose is to isolate the car interior from the external environment if there is an air conditioner. If there is no air conditioner, pressing the button also isolates the car interior from the environment, but now air enters the heater only from the interior. And this is permissible only temporarily, if it is necessary to exclude the ingress of bad air into the interior. It is not recommended to use it on the move in the winter and with a full set of passengers. The windows will fog up heavily, and in winter they will freeze.
