Front seats
The front seats are separate, with headrests, with individual adjustments for seat position and backrest tilt. Each seat is mounted on a skid, which can be moved forward and backward within 300 mm.
The seat slides consist of guides 46 and sliders 45 stamped from sheet steel. The sliders can move along the guides on two rollers 44 each. A plastic limiter 43 is installed between the rollers. The handle 47 of the seat movement mechanism is rigidly connected to the latch 41, which, under the action of the spring 40 (in the form of a torsion) enters the grooves of the comb latch 42, welded to the inner guide of the sled. When handle 47 is lifted up, the latch is released and the seat can be moved to the desired position.
The seat slides are attached to the front floor cross member and to brackets welded to the floor of the body.
The seat has coarse and fine backrest adjustment. The backrest tilt adjustment mechanism consists of upper links 39 pivotally mounted on the rear pins of the cushion frame. The frame 33 of the seat back is welded to the upper links. From below, the outer upper links 39 have teeth, which engage the lever finger with the handle 37 for adjusting the backrest (coarse adjustment). The lever is pivotally mounted on the frame 36 of the pillow and is pressed against the teeth of the upper link 39 by a spring.
When the handle 37 is lifted up, the lever finger disengages from the teeth of the upper link and the backrest moves forward with the help of a torsion bar, the ends of which are fixed on the frames 33 and 36 of the backrest and seat cushion. The driver or passenger in the upper position of the handle 37 can push the seat back to the desired position. When lowering the handle 37, the backrest will be fixed by the lever finger behind one of the teeth of link 39.
To ensure fine adjustment of the inclination of the backrest, the lever with the handle 37 is mounted on an eccentric located on the front finger of the pillow frame. When the eccentric is turned with the handle 38, the lever will move, turning the link 39 by the teeth and smoothly tilting the seat back forward or backward.
When passengers are seated in the rear seat, the handle 37 is raised up, releasing the teeth of link 39, and the seat back is tilted forward. To form sleeping places, the seat back is tilted and lowered back, after removing the head restraints.
The frame 36 of the pillow is made in the form of a frame stamped from sheet steel. The frame 33 of the backrest is made of a pipe, to which amplifiers with upper links 39 are welded. Wire springs in the form of snakes are attached to the frames 36 and 33 using metal brackets. The spring ends are coated with polyamide resin to avoid squeaking of the staples.
Polyurethane foam padding is installed on the cushion and backrest frames. The upholstery of the seats is made of artificial leather with a backing of synthetic materials, which make it possible to obtain clear decorative reliefs after dielectric welding.
The headrests of the 24 front seats are height-adjustable and consist of polyurethane foam padding with a steel tube frame. Recesses are made at the vertical ends of the frame, into which spring clips enter, inserted into the grooves of the guide tubes of the frame 33. Instead of the headrest 24, headrests 48 from VAZ-2108 cars can be installed.
Backseat
The rear seat consists of a cushion and a backrest. The pillow is fastened in front with the help of two loops 32. The fixed links of the loops are fastened with nuts to the welded bolts on the body floor brackets and are covered with polyethylene facings. The moving links are bolted to the frame 31 of the rear seat cushion. The rear part of the frame 31 rests on the pins of the retainers installed in the body brackets.
The seat back in the lower part is mounted on the cushion frame using hinges 28, and is locked at the top with locks. This design allows you to put the back of the seat on the cushion, and then together with the cushion on the hinges 32 raise them to a vertical position to the backs of the front seats. As a result, the area of the luggage compartment is significantly increased.
Cushion and backrest frames 31 and 27 are stamped from sheet steel. The frames are fitted with polyurethane foam padding. Seat upholstery is made of artificial leather.
In the normal position, the seat back is fixed with locks that are attached to the frame with 27 screws. There is a spring-loaded latch with a handle 26 in the lock body. The latch engages with a latch mounted on the body frame and fixes the seat back. To lower the seat back, it is necessary to lift both handles 26 of the locks up and disengage the latches from the latches.
Car upholstery
The interior trim in shape and color is selected in a single style that meets modern aesthetic requirements. The upholstery and finishing materials of the cabin have a matte surface that does not give glare.
The color of upholstery of doors, seats, sidewalls is selected depending on the color of the body. Roof upholstery 6 is made of perforated PVC film (PVC) light grey. For thermal and sound insulation, a sheet of non-woven synthetic fibers 6 mm thick is glued to the roof panel under the upholstery with glue 88 NP-35. The edges of the upholstery 6 of the roof are held in the openings of the windows of the doors and the wind window with brackets and are covered with seals of the body openings. Five wire arcs are inserted into the transverse folds of the upholstery, the ends of which enter into plastic anti-creak bushings inserted into the holes of the body.
The vehicle can also be equipped with one-piece molded roof linings made of polyurethane foam coated with PVC film.
Upholstery of 4 sides is made of three layers: fibreboard (fiberboard), non-woven synthetic fabric and PVC film, the edges of which are welded to fiberboard with high-frequency currents (HDTV). The upholstery is fastened in the holes of the inner panel of the sidewall of the body with plastic holders fixed in the fiberboard.
The upholstery of 1 side panels of the front end is made of waterproof cardboard. On the rear edge, the upholstery is fastened in the holes of the body on rubber holders, the front part is fastened with a wire holder.
The upholstery of the front doors is similar to the upholstery of the sidewalls. It is attached with plastic holders. In the middle part, the upholstery is additionally fastened with screws of the armrest handle.
Shelf 7 of the trunk is made of light gray polypropylene and is mounted on axles in the openings of the body.
The interior floor is covered with rugs 8, 9 and 11, the outer surface of which has a decorative finish. The mats are attached to the body with buttons. Front mats 11 and rear mats 9 are made of 2.5 mm thick rubber. The mat 8 of the rear floor and trunk is made of PVC film 1.3 mm thick, embossed on the front side. The thresholds of the floor are covered with facings 3 made of polypropylene, the front surface of the facings is also embossed.
The front, center and rear pillars of the body do not have upholstery, they are painted black.
Body sealing
To ensure the tightness of the body interior, rubber seals of various profiles, rubber plugs for technological holes, sealing mastics are used, and all mating parts are carefully adjusted.
The air intake box, the tailgate opening are sealed with rubber seals 22 and 16, which are mounted on the flanges of the body openings with metal perforated frames.
Seals 14 of the front door openings are made of sponge rubber in the form of a tube, to which a plastic facing edge with a metal perforated frame 19 is welded. The frame provides fastening of the seal on the flange of the door opening. The inner cavity of the seal is connected to the atmosphere through holes in the sponge rubber.
Removal and installation of seals with metal frames requires care to prevent collapse of the frame or the formation of corrugations.
The windshield, side windows and tailgate are sealed with rubber seals 21, 17 and 15, which have special tongues for reliable sealing.
The upper seals of the sliding windows of the doors, the seals 13 and 20 of the guide grooves and the lower seals 18 of the glasses are made of rubber of special profiles that prevent water seepage. The water leaking between the seals and the sliding windows flows into the cavity of the door, from where it flows out through the drain holes.
Gaps in the joints of body parts are sealed with non-drying mastic 51-G-7, and body welds after priming are sealed with D-4A plastisol, which hardens when the body is processed in the drying chambers of the painting line.
Technological openings that serve for soil and paint to flow into the internal cavities of the body are sealed with rubber plugs.
