Note: The VAZ 21124 (1.6i) engine is equipped with an intake module (for more details, see. "Engine power supply system - device, description, diagram").
Removal
1. Remove the receiver (see "Engine receiver 2112 (1.5i) - removal and installation").
2. Remove the oil level indicator together with the guide tube (see point 10 "Fuel rail engine 2112 (1.5i) - removal, disassembly, assembly and installation").
3. Using a 13 mm socket wrench with an extension, unscrew the five nuts securing the intake manifold to the cylinder head (for clarity, the photo shows the view with the fuel rail removed; two nuts (2 and 4) are not visible).

4. Having moved the crankcase ventilation hose to the side, we remove the intake manifold from the cylinder head studs and remove it from the engine compartment.
5. Remove the intake manifold gasket from the studs. Clean the mating surface of the cylinder head from the remains of the old gasket.
Installation
We install the intake manifold on the car in the reverse order. In this case, we replace the intake manifold gasket. The tightening torque of the intake manifold mounting nuts is 20.9-25.8 N·m (2.1-2.6 kgf·m).
