Remove the corresponding wheel.
If there are knocks and noises in the front suspension, uneven wear of the tire tread, check the levers and their rubber-metal joints. Replace the deformed lever.
Signs of wear of the rubber-metal hinge of the lever are breaks, one-sided bulging of the rubber and delamination of the rubber from the metal bushing.
Replacing the rubber-to-metal joint of the lever requires a special tool and skill. Therefore, it is recommended to either replace the lever assembly with the joint, or, having removed the lever from the vehicle, have the joint replaced by a specialist workshop.
1. Loosen the nut securing the ball joint pin to the lever.
2. While holding the stabilizer strut to the arm against turning with the second wrench, unscrew the nut.
3. Remove the bolt. Please note: there is a spring washer under the nut.
4. After installing the puller, press the ball joint pin out of the suspension arm.
5. Holding the second key from turning the bolt securing the extension to the lever, unscrew the nut (there is a spring washer under the nut).
6. Push the lever down.
7. Holding the bolt of the lever to the bracket from turning with the second wrench, unscrew the nut (there is a spring washer under the nut).
8. Take out a bolt and remove the lever. Install the lever in the reverse order of removal. Finally tighten the mounting nuts with the vehicle on the ground by rocking the front of the vehicle several times beforehand. Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment.
