Disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.
Remove the air filter (see subsection 10.10.1.).

1. Loosen the bolt securing the air damper drive rod to the lever.

2. Loosen the bolt securing the air damper drive link housing to the bracket.

3. Disconnect the air damper drive rod from the lever.

4. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the intermediate rod end from the throttle lever.

5. Disconnect the small crankcase ventilation hose from the carburetor fitting.

6. Disconnect the wires from the idle speed control valve.

7. Disconnect the vacuum regulator hose from the carburetor fitting.

8. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the fuel supply hose from the fitting on the carburetor.

9. To gain easier access to the carburetor rear mounting nuts (in the direction of the car), unscrew the idle speed control valve...

10....remove it and unscrew the two nuts of the rear carburetor mount.

11. Remove the air filter bracket.

12. Unscrew the two nuts of the front carburetor mount.

13. Remove the carburetor from the studs.

14. Cover the hole in the intake pipe with a clean rag. Install the carburetor in the reverse order of removal. After installation, adjust the air and throttle valve drive (see subsections 10.10.5. and 10.10.6.).
