Anchor
They check with a megohmmeter or with a lamp powered by a voltage of 220 V whether there is a short circuit in the armature winding to ground. Voltage through the lamp is supplied to the collector plates and to the armature core. The megohmmeter should not show resistance less than 10 kOhm. Anchor having a short circuit with "weight", replace.
A special device is used to check if there are any short circuits between the armature winding sections or the collector plates, and also if there are any breaks at the place where the leads of the winding sections are soldered to the collector plates.
Inspect the working surface of the collector and check its runout relative to the shaft trunnions. The contaminated or burnt surface is cleaned with sandpaper with a grain size of 10 to M40. If the surface damage is significant or its runout is greater than 0.06 mm, the collector is machined on a lathe, removing as little metal as possible. The minimum diameter to which the collector can be machined is 36 mm. After the groove, the collector is polished with a fine-grained sandpaper.
Check the beating of the core relative to the pins of the shaft. If it is more than 0.08 mm, replace the anchor. Check the condition of the surfaces of the splines and trunnions of the armature shaft. They should not be visible scoring, nicks and wear. If yellow traces from the gear bushing appear on the surface of the shaft, they are removed with sandpaper with a grain size of 10 to M40.
Drive unit
The gear teeth should not be chipped or chipped. If there are nicks on the lead-in part of the teeth, then they are ground off with a grinding wheel of small diameter and a grain size of 10-16. The gear should turn easily relative to the clutch hub, but only in the direction of rotation of the armature when starting the engine. If the drive parts are damaged or significantly worn, the drive is replaced with a new one.
Stator
They check with a megohmmeter or with a lamp powered by a voltage of 220 V whether there is a short circuit in the stator winding to ground. The voltage through the lamp is supplied to the common terminal of the winding and to the starter housing. If the lamp is on or the megohmmeter shows a resistance of less than 10 kOhm, and also if the winding has signs of overheating (insulation blackening) , the winding is replaced.
To replace the stator winding coils, the poles are removed. Before removing the poles, marks are made on the body and poles in order to put them in their original position after assembly. It is recommended to preheat the winding to approximately 50°C before installation in order to give it flexibility and facilitate laying on the poles. The poles must be tightened with screws to failure so that the air gap between the armature and the poles is maintained in its original dimensions - 0.38 mm when checked with a probe.
Upon completion of the assembly, the inner diameter between the poles is checked, which should be 67.80-67.97 mm. In addition, the concentricity of the body and poles is checked with a plug gauge f 67.66 mm. The gauge must freely enter and rotate between the poles when landing on the inner surface of the housing. If this does not happen, then the assembly was performed incorrectly and it is repeated. Pole boring is not allowed.
Lids. Check for cracks on lids. If they are, replace the caps with new ones. Check the condition of the cover bushings. If they are worn out, then replace the cap assemblies or only the bushings. New bushings after pressing are deployed up to 0 12.015 + 0.015 mm.
To replace the sleeve in the cover on the collector side, you must first remove the plug, and after pressing the sleeve, install the plug in place and punch out at three points.
Check the reliability of the fastening of the brush holders on the cover from the side of the collector. Brush holders of positive brushes must not have a short circuit with ground".
Traction relay
Check the ease of movement of the relay armature and the condition of the contacts. If the contacts are burnt, clean them with a sandpaper or a flat velvet file. With significant carbon formation at the point of contact with the contact plate, you can turn them by 180°.
Check the resistance of the relay winding, the reliability of the connection of its terminals with the plug "50" And "weight", as well as whether there are traces of overheating of the winding. The damaged relay is replaced with a new one.
