Take measures to prevent fluid leakage from the tank.
Using puller 67.7823.9519 (Fig. 6-19), remove the brake drum.

Disconnect from lever 2 (fig. 6-18) manual drive of the shoes end of the cable 5, remove the cotter pin, press the finger and remove the lever 2. Disconnect the upper 10 and lower 6 tension springs 11, turn the cups of the support posts and remove them together with the posts, springs and lower cups, then remove the shoes together with the spacer bar 9.
Disconnect the brake fluid supply pipe from the wheel cylinder and plug the inlet holes of the cylinder and pipe.

Remove wheel cylinder 1.
When replacing the brake shield, remove the axle shaft as described in the chapter "Rear axle" and disconnect the parking brake cable by unscrewing the two mounting bolts to the brake shield.
