Disassembly
Loosen the universal joint yoke pinch bolt and separate the intermediate and upper steering shafts.
If the upper shaft or its bearings are damaged, flare the points of the bracket pipe punching and remove shaft 15 from the pipe (rice. 5-1) complete with bearings 11.
If the shaft rotates in the bearings without binding and no radial play is felt in the bearings (elastic radial movements of the steering shaft are allowed), disassembly of the upper steering shaft is not recommended.
If the shaft or its bearings are worn or damaged, replace them with new ones.
Assembly
Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly, paying attention to the fact that the universal joint lock bolt passes through the annular groove of the upper shaft. Then screw in two points on both sides of the bracket tube to fix the shaft bearings.
