For thermal and sound insulation, the floor surface in the body and the floor casing above the gearbox are covered with bitumen soundproofing sheet gaskets 2 mm thick. The gaskets on the floor cover above the gear box are reinforced with paper to prevent bitumen from running out in the vertical sections when drying. When drying the body, the gaskets are fused to the primed floor surface.
Between the roof panel and the roof reinforcements, on the upper flange of the wind window frame, in the stiffening ribs of the inner hood panel, anti-vibration pads made of expanding rubber are placed. The ends of the arches of the roof upholstery are installed in plastic anti-creak bushings.
The thermal and sound insulation of the roof is made of super-thin fiberglass impregnated with resins, which are glued to the roof panel in the cabin.
The front part of the floor, the bulkhead shield, the lower part of the air intake box, the side panels of the front end are covered with textile-bitumen thermal and noise insulation pads. The rear part of the floor, the rear wheel arches, the rear shelf, the bulkhead panel adjacent to the luggage compartment are covered with felt pads.
Reinforced bitumen pads are applied to the surface of the outer door panel from the inside, in the bitumen of which magnetic powder is added to avoid peeling of the gaskets from the surface during the passage of the body to the painting and drying chambers.
To eliminate the creaking of parts when the car is moving, bitumen gaskets are installed on the amplifiers of the doors, rear fenders and the upper corners of the wind window frame.
Anti-noise mastic cover the bottom of the body, the arches of the rear wheels, the inner surfaces of the cavities of the front wings and mudguards, located behind the front flap.
To avoid noise and knocks under the rear corners of the hood, rubber buffers are installed on the hatch cover of the fuel tank filler, on the lower pins of the radiator lining, on the brackets for the stops of the lowering windows of the doors.
At the ends of the trunk lid torsion bars, and for cars 2102 and 21021, anti-noise plastic tubes and spacers are installed at the ends of the tailgate torsion bars.
