Attention! Hang and remove the rear wheel. Removing the rear brake pads (see Replacing the rear brake pads).
ring wrench «at 17» unscrew the four nuts of the bolts securing the axle shaft to the flange of the beam.
With a slotted screwdriver, we bend the locking plates of the axle shaft mounting bolts..
... and take out the bolts.
We fix the wheel with the reverse side on the axle shaft, having screwed three nuts a few turns.
Grasping the wheel, we move with a jerk..
... and take out the axle shaft assembly with the bearing mounting plate, bearing and locking ring.
We take out the sealing rubber ring of the beam flange.
We insert two bolts into the holes of the brake shield and rear axle beams so that the shield does not hang on the brake tube.
We pry the stuffing box with sliding pliers..
... or semi-axle..
...and take it out.
Tool head of suitable size with extension (or pipe section) press in a new seal.
In case of deformation of the axle shaft, wear of its splines, as well as wear of the bearing, we replace the axle shaft with a new one complete with a bearing and a locking ring (it is not recommended to replace the bearing or locking ring yourself).
Install the shaft in reverse order.
Check the oil level in the rear axle and top up if necessary.
