During the operation of the car, the anti-corrosion anti-noise coating on the bottom of the body is damaged and erased from the effects of gravel, sand, salt, moisture. Bare metal corrodes.
At the car factory, BPM-1 mastic was applied to the lower surface of the body base and spars for sound insulation and protection against corrosion.
1. Before restoring the coating, place the car on a lift, carefully inspect the bottom of the body and identify defects in the coating. Clean the bottom of the body from dirt, remove rust with a spatula, sandpaper or rust converter according to the instructions. Blow the bottom of the body with compressed air.
2. Place the car on a lift in the mastic chamber and remove the wheels.
3. Close the brake drums and discs with protective covers, isolate the driveline, muffler, cables and other places that cannot be treated with mastic with thick paper and adhesive tape.
4. Degrease with a rag soaked in white spirit, cleaned to metal places. Apply primer GF-073 to the cleaned places with a sprayer or brush and hold for 5-10 minutes.
5. On defective areas by spraying or by hand (Apply BPM-1 mastic with a brush and spatula in a layer of 1–1.5 mm.
6. In the cold season, before use, keep the mastic in a warm room until the temperature rises below 20°C.
7. Dilute the thickened mastic with xylene up to 3%.
8. Clean the paintwork contaminated with mastic with a rag soaked in white spirit.
9. Dry the mastic at 100–110°C for 30 minutes or at 18–20°C for at least 24 hours.
