Starter type 35.3708 is a DC electric motor with mixed excitation and an electromagnetic two-winding traction relay.
In the housing 17 (Fig. 7-13) four poles 18 with excitation windings are fixed, three of which are series and one is parallel. The housing together with covers 6 and 15 is tightened with two bolts. The anchor has an end collector. The anchor shaft rotates in metal-ceramic bushings 14, pressed into covers 6 and 15.

The starter connection diagram is shown in Fig. 7-14. When the starter is turned on, the voltage from the battery is supplied to the windings of the starter traction relay via auxiliary relay 4 type 113.3747-10 (retractor II and retainer I). After the traction relay contacts are closed, the pull-in winding is switched off.
