Crankcase gases are sucked off through hose 1 (pic. 9-22) into the intake pipe hose and then through the throttle pipe and receiver into the intake pipe.
Pic. 9-22. Crankcase ventilation system:
1 - exhaust hose; 2 - gas outlet hose; 3 - throttle pipe; 4 - oil level indicator; 5 - oil separator cover; 6 - oil pressure sensor; 7 - gasket; 8 - oil separator.
At low crankshaft speeds, with the throttle valve closed, the bulk of the crankcase gases are sucked off through hose 2 into the throttle pipe.
Flushing the system. For flushing, disconnect hoses 1 and 2 of the ventilation system from the pipes on the intake pipe hose and throttle pipe 3. Remove the cover 5 of the oil separator 8 and wash them with gasoline or kerosene. Rinse and blow out hoses and fittings with compressed air.
