Device Features
The power supply system consists of a fuel tank, a fuel filter, a high pressure fuel pump (injection pump), injectors, air filter, intake pipe, low and high pressure fuel lines.
The high pressure fuel pump does not require any maintenance. In order to avoid air leakage, which will cause an increase in fuel consumption, it is necessary to check the tightness of the fuel pipes.
Nozzles. In case of problems with starting the engine or black smoke from the muffler, it is necessary to remove, check and, if necessary, replace the injectors. When installing injectors, the copper gasket and steel washer must be replaced.
Single-stage fuel filter with a replaceable filter element, with a built-in water separator and a sediment drain plug. Unscrew the central bolt, remove the housing and wash it with diesel fuel. Replace filter element and seals.
Air filter with a replaceable filter element made of special cardboard with a pre-cleaner made of synthetic wool.
Warning: Fuel Equipment (injection pump, injectors, fuel filter) are repaired in specialized repair enterprises of the company that manufactured this equipment. Disassembly, repair and assembly of fuel equipment are not considered in this Manual.
Engine idle adjustment
Maximum fuel supply adjustments and speed adjustments are sealed. They can only be unsealed by specialized dealers.
Only idle speed can be adjusted. Any changes to the settings can lead to rapid engine wear and will automatically void the warranty.
Fast idle setting. On a cold engine lever 10 (fig.9-32) must touch the limiter 9, if necessary, increase the tension of the cable 7 with the tensioner 11. The cable must move more than 6 mm.
Pic. 9-32. Idle adjustment:
1 - idle adjustment screw; 2 - stop lever; 3 - mounting pin; 4 - load lever; 5 - limiter; 6 - cable sheath tensioner; 7 - accelerator cable; 8 - gasket; 9 - limiter; 10 - quick idle lever; 11 - cable tensioner.
Accelerator installation. Press the accelerator pedal to the floor, lever 4 should touch stop 5. Make sure that lever 4 rests on stop 9 at idle.
Warm up the engine, the electric fan should turn on.
Installation of a system to prevent spontaneous shutdown. Install a 4 mm spacer 8 between the lever 4 and the limiter 9. Press the stop lever 2.
Insert a 3 mm setting pin 3 into the lever 10. Set the crankshaft rotation speed to 900±100 rpm by turning the limiter 9.
Remove gasket 8 and dowel pin 3.
Adjust the idle speed by turning screw 1. The idle speed should be 800-850 rpm.
Engine overrun check. Set the engine speed to 3000 rpm using load lever 4. Release the load lever, the motor coast should be 2.5-3.5 s.
After returning to idle, the difference in speed should not exceed 50 rpm.
Warning: Adjusting screws for maximum fuel delivery and speed are sealed at the factory.
