Removing
1. Remove the crankshaft pulley and its key (see "Front crankshaft oil seal - replacement").
2. Remove the engine oil pan (see above, "Engine oil pan - removal and installation, gasket replacement").
3. Remove the oil pickup (see above, "Oil intake - removal and installation").
4. socket wrench by 10 mm unscrew the six bolts securing the oil pump to the cylinder block.
5. Remove the oil pump from the engine.
Comment. The connection between the oil pump and the cylinder block is sealed with a gasket.
Disassembly
1. Hex key by 5 mm unscrew the six bolts securing the pump housing to the cover.
2. Remove the pump housing.
3. We take out the drive gear from the cover.
4. We remove the driven gear from the housing.
5. We wash the pump parts with diesel fuel or kerosene, wipe dry and lubricate the gears with clean engine oil.
Comment. The diameter of the seat of the driven gear in the pump housing must not exceed 75.10 mm. The minimum thickness of the dividing wall between the driving and driven gears is 3.4 mm. The axial play of the drive gear should not be more than 0.12 mm, and the driven gear - 0.15 mm.
Assembly
Advice. On a removed pump, it is recommended to replace the front crankshaft oil seal installed in the pump cover (see "Front crankshaft oil seal - replacement").
We assemble the pump in the reverse order.
The driven gear in the pump is oriented so that the side with the mark and chamfers on the teeth faces the housing.
The drive gear is guided by the chamfered teeth in the same way.
Installation
We install the oil pump in the reverse order, replacing the gasket between the pump and the cylinder block with a new one.
