There should be no cracks, burnouts or peeling on the edge of the holes.
Checking the cylinder head for leaks
For hydraulic testing of cylinder head cooling jacket tightness:
- install the parts included in the A.60324 tool kit on the cylinder head (Fig. 2-51);
- use a pump to pump water into the head under a pressure of 0.5 MPa (5 kgf/cm²).

There should be no water leakage from the head within two minutes. If cracks are found, the cylinder head must be replaced.
You can check the tightness of the cylinder head with compressed air, for which:
- install the parts included in the A.60334 tool kit on the cylinder head;
- place the cylinder head in a bath of water heated to 60-80°C and let the cylinder head warm up for 5 minutes;
- supply compressed air at a pressure of 0.15-0.2 MPa into the cylinder head (1.5-2 kgf/cm²).
There should be no air leakage from the head within 1-1.5 minutes.
