Remove the front brake caliper with brake pads. At the same time, do not allow the caliper to hang on the high pressure hoses.
Attach tool 67.7834.9507 with indicator to the steering knuckle (pic. 4-4) so that the indicator leg rests on the wheel hub as close as possible to the adjusting nut. Turning the hub in both directions, simultaneously move it with the lever 67.7820.9521 along the axis of the steering knuckle (from myself and on myself). Measure the amount of movement (clearance) by indicator.

If the gap is greater than 0.15 mm, adjust it in the following order:
- unscrew the adjusting nut from the shank of the outer hinge housing;
- install a new or used, but on a different car, nut, and tighten it to a torque of 19.6 Nm (2kgf·m), while turning the hub in both directions two or three times to self-align the bearing rollers;
- loosen the adjusting nut and retighten to 6.86 Nm (0.7 kgf·m),
- make a mark on the washer B (pic. 4-5), then loosen the nut by 20-25°until the first edge A coincides with the mark;
- lock the nut in this position by pushing the holes in the neck into the slots on the end of the outer joint shank.
After adjustment, the clearance in the bearing should be within 0.01-0.07 mm.
