head «on 10» unscrew the eight nuts securing the cylinder head cover.
We remove the mounting brackets from the studs of the cylinder head..
... vacuum brake booster hose,..
... the fuel rail feed pipe,..
... fuel rail drain pipe..
...and throttle cable.
Remove the cover pressure washers from the cylinder head studs.
Remove the cylinder head cover with gasket.
On a carburetor engine, before removing the cylinder head cover, dismantle the air filter housing (see Removing the air filter housing) and disconnect the choke cable and fuel drain hose from the carburetor. Disconnect the high voltage wire from the ignition coil. We disconnect from the bracket mounted on the cylinder head, the return spring of the carburetor throttle drive rods (see Removing the carburetor from the engine).
Loosen the nuts securing the cylinder head cover.
Remove the return spring mounting bracket from the block head stud.
We dismantle the cylinder head cover of a carburetor engine in the same way as removing the cover on an injection engine.
After installing a new gasket, we assemble the parts in the reverse order.
