head «at 13» unscrew the fixing nut «massive» injection system wires to the cylinder block stud (at the top front of the block on the left side).
Remove the wire harness from the stud.
head «at 13» unscrew the nut of the upper fastening of the bracket of the ignition module to the cylinder block.
We remove the bracket for the holder of the oil supply pipe to the hydraulic tensioner of the camshaft drive chain.
Raise the bracket with the ignition module and remove it from the cylinder block.
Pry off the oil pump drive gear lock with a screwdriver...
... and remove it from the cylinder block socket.
The connection is sealed with rubber and paronite gaskets.
We insert with an interference fit a wooden conical mandrel into the splined hole of the oil pump drive gear...
... and remove the gear from the cylinder block by turning it counterclockwise.
Attention! Be careful not to drop the gear into the cylinder block.
Install the oil pump drive gear in reverse order.
We enter the gear into engagement with the gear of the oil pump drive roller...
... and holding the gear with a screwdriver, we take out the wooden mandrel.
Dismantling the oil pump drive gear on a carburetor engine is similar to removing it on an injection engine, except that instead of the gear lock, it is necessary to remove the ignition distributor (see Removing the sensor-distributor ignition).
